Description

The IT Learning Specialist is responsible for delivery and evaluation of training programs for the Information Technology department.  This role is dedicated to managing, organizing, and delivering training curriculum through partnerships with trainers and leaders across the organization.
  
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to create, document, and maintain onboarding and continuing education programs that include technical and organizational training.
  • Work with business units to establish a standard training schedule that informs IT staff of departmental operations and their impact on ROI.
  • Organize and deliver training programs, ensuring content is accessible and engaging for both technical and non-technical learners.
  • Assess training needs through collaboration, feedback, and performance analysis, and implement improvements based on evolving needs.
  • Develop and manage the training calendar, coordinating logistics, materials, and venue or technology setup.
  • Measure training effectiveness through evaluations, surveys, and assessments, and report progress to IT leadership.
  • Maintain training records, resources, and documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Build strong relationships with IT leaders, business units, and external vendors to align training objectives with organizational goals.
  • Advocate for continuous learning within the IT department while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Other tasks as assigned
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
  • 2+ years of experience delivering or developing training in a software engineering, IT, or similar technical environment
  • Exceptional written/oral communication and confident, polished presentation skills  
  • High level of professionalism based on integrity and humility 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently 
  • Ability to analyze and creatively solve problems 
  • Ability to connect with people 
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed.
 
Travel
This position will require up to 20% travel.
