Summary/Objective 

Title Specialists handle information regarding motor vehicle registration and processes legal and other state-required documents. Employee processes incoming and outbound titles in an efficient and accurate manner. This candidate must be administratively adept and organized with handling files and maintaining documents. Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.

 

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and develop knowledge of State laws and regulations as related to vehicle tag and title practices
  • Verify accuracy of title and lien documents received (Vehicle Identification Number, Registered Owner Name(s), Lien Holder Name/Address, Vehicle Description and Odometer Reading
  • Ability to process data into our system and onto state agency forms for processing a repossession title.
  • Researching and responding to title questions, problems or errors
  • Shares ideas and best practices to drive efficiencies
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Knowledgeable with Word, Excel, Adobe Reader and other Microsoft Products.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience at a car dealership, auction or title agency preferred
  • Adept at navigating various computer applications
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to deal tactfully with the public and co-workers
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematical computations

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with schedule variations as needed.

Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
