The System Administrator III position will help provision, install, manage, and maintain Windows servers, M365, Manage Engine, Rubrik, Zoom, GoAnywhere, and our VM environment as well as system software and related infrastructure, including our Active Directory environment. In addition, this role participates in technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure environment.

  • Assist in development, planning, and executing upgrades and changes.
  • Provide Tier II / III support as required for various associates as issues are raised
  • Perform daily system monitoring and reviews; verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes; reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups 
  • Coordinate and communicate with impacted Associates
  • Ensure Customer Service to our Associates is upheld to the highest standard
  • Assist with resource planning and prioritization of support requests for Systems Administrator Team
  • Day to day oversight and follow up of tasks required to be performed by other System Administrators
  • Coaching and mentoring of junior System Administrators
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. 
  • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional manner and appearance.
  • Perform routine audits of systems and software verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
  • Analyzing system logs to identify potential issues with computer systems
  • Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
  • Understanding of system security requirements and implementations
  • Troubleshoot reported problems and independently research and answer technical queries and drive issues to resolution
  • Responsible for documentation and configuration of the systems and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Ability to follow a structured change management / deployment methodology
 
Qualifications
  • Batchelor degree in Computer Technology or Equivalent work experience is required.
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft domain networks
  • 5+ years of experience server hardware design and best practices
  • Experience with Active Directory (GPO, DNS, DHCP, and Sites and Services), Microsoft 365, Zoom, VMware, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022, Manage Engine, Windows 10/11
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows servers and desktops.
  • Experience issuing, revoking, and renewing digital certificates.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Proactive problem solver with a can-do attitude with the ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with IT/Ops, Customer Support, Engineering, QA and other stakeholders.
  • Cloud environment management experience in Azure or AWS environments a plus
  • Familiar with ITIL standard practices and procedures a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines without compromising close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Effective time management skills – ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-driven with ability to quickly learn technology and eager to stretch their skills.
 
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
 
 
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Ability to lift and carry 40+ lbs.  Ability to pull and terminate Cat 5e/6 cabling.
 
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday-Friday with some schedule variations as needed including on-call coverage rotation. Occasional night or weekend work for special projects. 
 
Travel
This position will require up to 10% travel.
